Tourism on the Indonesian island of Sawai is bound to increase after this enchanting, sensual small feature film known as “Someone’s Wife on a Boat of Someone’s Husband. Starring Indonesian actors and model Nicholas Saputra and Mariana Renata, this film is a fairy tale based on a story of “Cinta Diatas Perahu Cadik” written by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. But the film itself is paradise on earth (visually) while the story offers a young woman who seeks the truth behind a legend she heard from her grandmother. Available in semi-feature, a new presentation format that foregrounds the mid-length film.

Legends abound on the Indonesian island of Sawai, but when a young woman arrives to find out more about a story her grandmother told her, no one knows a thing about Halimah who ran away from her husband to have an affair with the sailor Sukab.
