Director and movie producer from the film “Rumah Di Seribu Ombak”, Erwin Arnada has recently issued a teaser in the form of a poster for his new movie titled “Jejak Dedari“. The film is again raised the Balinese people in full length story that tells about a village with deaf community on the island of Bali. This story is also based on local mythology about ritual dance called Sanghyang Dedari. This dance is usually performed by teenagers or young virgin who is not yet menstruating and were deemed to be clean.

The film stars Indonesia’s top actors and actresses like Christine Hakim, Reza Rahadian. Andania Suri, Meriza Febriani, Alex Komang, and Verdi Sulaiman. This film is the result of his research back in 2009, when he found about a deaf mute village in Bengkala Buleleng Bali that also known as Kolok village. Most of the people who live in those village suffer from hearing and speech impaired. Until today, no one can explain why the phenomenon of deaf family could happen at those village.
