adidas Originals Consortium and Porter by Yoshida and Co.

A German multinational corporation that designs and manufactures sports shoes, clothing and accessories known as adidas recently teams up with the main label of bag and accessories company from Japan, Porter by Yoshida and Co. to create a minimal Stan Smith model to celebrate their eightieth anniversary. Made famous amongst Japanese streetwear circles thanks to their work with Hiroshi Fujiwara with the Head Porter line, Porter is no stranger to collaborations but this might be the first time the company has extended its collaborative arm to adidas. The creative team of adidas themselves have created a duo of premium editions of the Stan Smith model in Porter’s trademark black and orange colour scheme. All-over black leather and nubuck uppers are accented with striking orange lining and tongue details atop a clean white sole unit, whilst the addition of a vamp and tongue in Porter’s proprietary Tanker material completes the story with a personal detail. Finishing touches appear through the iconic Porter logo on the insole and joint-branding on the tongue, completing a clean collaboration that stays true to the original of the brand ethos of soft-spoken product with unrivalled attention to quality. For those of you who are willing to grab a pair, the entire adidas Originals Consortium collection by Porter is available now with men sizing from UK 6.5 to 10.
