Pop Up Initiative 2015 is part of the pre-event Pop Up Market 2015 held by students of S1 Prasetiya Mulya Business School. The event was held at The Ice Palace, Lotte Shopping Avenue Mall on Saturday, February 21th 2015 starting at 9 in the morning until 2 on the afternoon. The main agenda of the first Pop Up Initiative itself is educational talk show hosted by Prasetiya Mulya officials and several prominent figures in the Indonesia creative industry. This event is specifically made for the tenant from the upcoming Pop Up Market 2015. Gary Evano Daniel as the Head Committee of Pop Up Market 2015 further explained that this event is created based on the idea on how to expand your business. According to him, this segment will helps other young entrepreneurs to develop their businesses and to perform well in the industry. Along with him, there were also Adrian Virgandhie, the Head Student Board of S1 Prasetiya Mulya and Dr. Rudy Handoko, the Head Program of Bachelor Degree STIE Prasetiya Mulya.

As for the speakers, the students of S1 Prasetiya Mulya Business School managed to invite Prof. Agus W. Soehadi, PH.D from Faculty Member of Prasetiya Mulya School of Business and Economics, Kleting Titis Wigati who is a founder and creative director of the fashion label KLE, and Yoland Handoko who is fashion director of Grazia Magazine Indonesia. Each of them were presented in order to explain more, either the business side of fashion or the creative side of fashion. According to Miss Kleting, “Fashion is a way of life and every person must have their own way and style.” While Mr. Handoko mentioned, “Fashion is a media which you could use as an alternative to express yourself and your creativity.”

Furthermore, they all agree that to develop business in any field, one must build a strong relationships. Promotion and marketing is an important aspect and not just to consumers, but also to the media. “You have to work with others first. That’s important, because you have to know and experience on how to work as a team before becoming your own boss. You could do at least three years in order to know exactly the business world is.” Later then, Pop Up Initiative 2015 is closed with the presentation of plaque by Mr. Farel S.V. Sinaga and Gary Evano Daniel as Head Committee to all of the speakers.

Pop Up Market is an annual event for young entrepreneurs and local brands in Indonesia held by students of S1 Prasetiya Mulya Business School.
