Sisitipsi is a band with six personnel formed on March 2014 in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is inspired by the musical sounds of 50s to 80s, combined with bossa nova, samba, swing, classical, bluegrass, country, and jazz. The band consists of Fauzan Lubis as vocalist, Rian Rahman as guitarist, Eka Wiji Astanto as contrabassist, Hendar Dimas Anggara as keyboardist, Amoroso Romadian play the trombone, and Aditya Rahman as drummer. At the end of 2014, Sisitipsi began to introduce their music through streaming site like SoundCloud and eventually the response was great, as the listeners were pretty enthusiastic about their song, especially with “Alkohol” that has reached for more than ten thousand. Although they are still fairly young however they have performed in various events, ranging from art shows, campuses, cafes, to television shows such as Breakout on NET TV and Jazzy Nite on Kompas TV. In order to extend their personality, they recently uploaded the official lyric video for their single “Alkohol”. The song was produced by Fauzan Lubis and told the story of people in Indonesia who likes to hang out in their surroundings. The word Sisitipsi itself is taken from the word CCTV. Why have to be CCTV? Because CCTV is a system that could record objects and realities of our life in a form of visual manner. Through this kind of metaphor, Sisitipsi would like to do same thing on how to express their music, such as recording the reality or any kind of objects and applied it into form of music. Furthermore, they would like to present their music to be very honest, could relate to somebody’s life.
